Symphonic Learning™
An interdisciplinary approach approach for 0 – 6 year old children that integrates play, Science, Arts, and Language, helping them explore concepts through inquiry and projects.
Interdisciplinary Learning

Why doesn’t it snow in Singapore? ❄️🌏
That simple question ignited our children to investigate how where we are in the world can shape the climate we experience.
Using flat maps and globes, the children located different countries and explored the Earth’s tropical, temperate and frigid zones. As they recognised national flags, found countries such as Indonesia and Japan, and identified their climate zones, they began making connections between where a country is located and the climate it experiences. 🗺️💡
Through inquiry-led experiences like these, children are encouraged to ask questions, investigate their ideas and apply what they discover to better understand the world around them.

Our little Changemakers Explorers have been curious about aeroplanes, so they took their curiosity further through an interactive session with a pilot instructor. ✨
They asked questions, observed, listened and even put their learning into action by navigating a flight simulator. ✈️ Through our Symphonic Learning™ approach, children connect what they learn with real-world experiences, building on what they already know and developing a deeper understanding of the world around them.

Bridging generations, building empathy, and discovering the power of connection. 🌱
Our children from Changemakers Explorer at Downtown East visited the seniors at United Medicare for a meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival celebration as part of their Intergenerational Programme (IGP).
Through craft activities and shared moments together, our children had the opportunity to interact with the seniors, learn from one another and appreciate the different experiences and perspectives across generations. Meet Xiao Bei, our children`s new little robot friend from Beijing! 🤖👋
During our Beijing Overseas Immersion Programme, our little Changemakers Explorers discovered a new way to learn through technology and hands-on play. From answering quizzes to figuring out how to guide Xiao Bei in the right direction, the children practised critical thinking and problem-solving as they tested different approaches and adjusted their instructions to overcome each challenge. 💡

Our Changemakers Explorers rolled up their sleeves to make their own apple crumble - from discovering how different baking tools are used and observing each step, to measuring, mixing and baking.
Through our Symphonic Learning™ approach, one hands-on experience brings together multiple areas of learning. As the children measured ingredients, followed instructions and worked alongside their friends, they developed early numeracy, language and motor skills while learning to take responsibility and complete tasks more independently.
The best part? Proudly sharing their freshly baked apple crumble with their teachers! 🥰

What does it take to bring a café to life? A lot of thinking, planning and teamwork!
From shopping for ingredients and taking on different roles to preparing baked pasta, fresh orange juice and cocktail jelly, our little Changemakers experienced what it takes to run a café. They planned what was needed, made choices independently, worked together to bring their ideas to life and proudly served their creations to their parents.
Beyond independence, confidence and teamwork, the experience showed our children how they can think, create and turn ideas into action while creating meaningful memories with their parents.✨

Who takes care of the penguins, and how? 🐧
As part of our children’s inquiry-based project into "How do zookeepers care for penguins?", our little Changemakers Explorer headed to Penguin Cove to observe penguins up close in their habitat.
They watched zookeepers care for the penguins through feeding enrichment, including hand feeding and water feeding, as well as observed how the penguins moved, interacted with one another. With their Penguin Adventure Booklets in hand, they documented their observations, reflected on their discoveries, and uncovered how food and habitat all play a part in keeping penguins healthy and happy.
Through authentic experiences like these, learning becomes more than knowledge, it ignites curiosity, inquiry, and a deeper appreciation for the world around them.
